6:35 am - Housing

If this isn't ok to post here just tell me and I'll delete it...

Does anyone know of any good houses or apartments for rent in the Jensen Beach/Port St Lucie area?!? My husband and I were planning on moving to that area from RI in the next few months but our plans just got bumped up to moving as soon as possible and we need to find a place YESTERDAY! Even if anyone has a recommendation for a Realtor in that area it would be a huge help. Thanks!!!

4:20 pm - SAKYO - Vietnamese and Japanese Restaurant in West Palm
pdpredtide a friend of mine recently opened up a restaurant on okeechobee blvd in west palm. i went by for a try and thought it was delicious. i researched some more and found that they were rated BEST Vietnamese 2008 in palm beach by the new times.
check it out sometime! its pretty cheap

Best Vietnamese Restaurant - Sakyo
Sakyo Vietnamese and Japanese Restaurant
4931 Okeechobee Blvd
West Palm Beach, FL

Lucky the locale where the Vietnamese population has reached critical mass: New York has it, L.A. has it, and finally South Florida has it. A big community of Saigon expats means more Vietnamese restaurants and the customers to fill them, ensuring long life for both a restaurant and its happy patrons. A bowl of pho per day makes you healthy and wise. The pho at Sakyo comes with benefits — it's served by a charming family, shy and sincere, in a pretty, understated room, where the chatter in the booths around you is as likely to be in Vietnamese as English. Sakyo's pho is a mysterious, smoky broth layered with thin slices of rare tenderloin and delicate, attenuated noodles, added to which a handful of fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and jalapenos, a squeeze of lime, and a few spoonfuls of peppery sauce produces a soup far more than the sum of its parts. Join this wicked brew with Vietnamese crepes, shrimp and pork filled spring rolls, or the house special barbecued ribs.

11:59 am - Palm Beach Food Reviews

Palm Beach Food Reviews

Visit the new website for Palm Beach Food. www.PalmBeachFoodReviews.com is the place for food reviews, restaurant listings, and the blog by Gastronomical Jew!

Did you ever go out to a restaurant and have such a great experience that you couldn't wait to tell all of your friends?
We have them all the time!

We always wondered if your experiences are effected by the company that you keep and the mood that you're in that day.
If we you having a celebratory meal, lets say for a big bonus you received or a good grade at school, would that make the service better, because your energy was more exuberant?

Does food taste better when you've come off of a really bad stomache virus and you haven't eaten anything but broth or jello for a week? We would think that it does.

How about if you spent the holidays in a self induced gluttony marathon, would a gourmet buffet breakfast be fair to review?
Of course it wouldn't be fair... we couldn't eat another bite!

Their are a few rules that we impose on ourselves, as reviewers for Palm Beach Food Reviews (as well as Broward Food Reviews, and Miami Food Reviews.com).

First, we are looking for restaurants that want to be reviewed.

We don't want to surprise you on the day that your chef has the flu. We want to be invited in. Sample your specials, check out the kitchen , and meet the staff. We want to hear your story of the "why" you decided to create this dream of serving people your food. We want the people that read our reviews to know who you are, and what you care about when they come into your restaurant. We do want them to have expectations, and we want you to meet those expectations by way of sharing your story first hand with us.

Our readers are our friends. We want to introduce you to them through our experience.

4:08 pm - Looking for a few old friends

Taking a shot in the dark here...

I'm looking for a few people from the Palm Beach Gardens area that I haven't seen in almost seven or eight years. Their names are Alex (Alexis) and Gregg, and they're both in their mid- to late-30's. They are brother and sister. If memory serves, their mother's name was Darlene(?). Any other information I have is 10 years old and not of much use.

I'm blanking on the last name, but the last time I saw them, Alex already had a few kids.

If this rings a bell with anybody, or you know people who might match this description, shoot me a line please!

8:45 pm - Breakdancing?

Hey everyone. I studied a bit of breakdancing back when I was in college. Now that I'm back in the 561 area, I've been wanting to get back into it. None of the dance schools in the yellow pages seem to teach it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where else I could look?
